Reward rate (1x-5x)

  • 5x points when booking flights and prepaid hotels through, and earn 1 point for each dollar spent on qualifying purchases
  • 1.5x points (equivalent to an extra half point per dollar) for every eligible transaction at US stores specializing in construction materials, hardware, electronics, software and cloud systems, and shipping services. This applies to purchases of $5,000 or more at other locations as well, with a limit of $2 million in such transactions per calendar year
  • You also have the option to convert your points and transfer them to any of Amex's 20 airline and hotel partners
